Sam Dodge has been working to find solutions to the ongoing epidemic of homelessness from coast to coast since the year 2000. Sam was a member of New York City's Department of Homeless Services team that worked to design and manage programs that reduced street homelessness by 60%. In 2015 he was appointed to serve as the San Francisco Mayor’s Director of Housing Opportunity, Partnerships and Engagement, or HOPE and now currently serves as the Deputy Director of San Francisco’s Dept. of Homelessness and Supportive Housing. On a side note Sam shares that as part of his previous job experience he had to walk around the Tenderloin (SF) and count the number of occasions he could identify piss or crap on the street. Respect Sam Dodge, respect!
