Maxine Holloway is a Bay Area sex worker, sex educator, artist and filmmaker. Since 2008 she has been conspiring with Bay Area talent to create and showcase provocative performance, education and advocacy. Her pornography performances earned her AVN nominations, an XBIZ award, and a Feminist Porn Award. In 2014 she founded the Ask First Campaign to raise awareness about consent, and has brought the project to the Folsom Street Fair for the third year in a row. She is the co-founder of Cum & Glitter - A Live Sex Show, a performance troupe taking the Bay Area by storm. With her real-life partner Jesse James, she recently founded a perverse and romantic kink event called, The Push - An Adult Party. Holloway is certified in Sex-Education and HIV/STI Prevention, and recently completed her masters degree in public health at SF State University. Her studies focus on the health, safety, and human rights of sex workers. Holloway advocates for sex worker justice through the ever-intersecting avenues of activism, community organizing, politics, and art.
