Ayodele Thomas



Dr. Ayodele Thomas is the Assistant Dean for Diversity Programs, Data and Technology in the School of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University and a lecturer for more than ten years. For more than 25 years, she has focused on diversity and inclusion, particularly in STEM, inspired by her own experiences as the first Black woman to receive a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2005. In 2015, Dr. Thomas became the Director of the Greene Scholars Program (GSP), a unique long-term STEM enrichment program for youth of African ancestry based in Silicon Valley. Over 16 years, all of the GSP alumni have gone onto college with 60% majoring in STEM fields. Ayodele is married and has two children.
